Dad, look at you getting all old on me!! sooner or later your going to be looking like D-Rut;) haha but dad i just want to wish you a happy birthday, and want to express my gratitude to you for all that you have done for me. Thank you for raising me the way you did, i see in my character everyday attributes that i learned from you. You are my absolute hero. Whenever people complement me on things that i do well or stuff like that litterally i remember specifically learning them from you and your example to me. I would not be the man i am today if i hadnt passed through the things that i passed through, even though it was a rough road that i had to walk and i feel down quite a few times, you were always there to pick me up and get me going again. Even though you had the right to let me be and continue on your way, you were there in everymoment. I will be eternally grateful for you. I love you so much dad, i hope that i can always continue to make you proud and live up to my name and my potential. The cold weather is litterally a sign that god hears my prayers;) hahah but for reals, i have realized that i was born for cold. but the funny thing is that my comp is the exact opposite! he literally is dying!! and i just keep telling him that this is just the beginning and that the real cold is coming and he about passes out haha but its all part of the experience or no? haha
Let me start of and say that the Oakland temple could be the coolest temple i have ever seen just behind the Manti temple! really though, i had no idea that there was a temple that existed that looked like that!! sooooo cool!!:) And as for Nina, that is soooo good!! he finally has completed that goal that was so big to her and important!! (her doctorate) i am soo happy for her and its also soo cool that maca was able to go there and celebrate with nina:) you know what, Maca was the last girl that i hugged!! so by you hugging her mom thats the closest thing you got;) hahah how much time is maca going to spend there in the states?? or has she already got back here in santiago??

other is a teddy bear that a guy from my ward gave to his mom from mothers day. with my name tag ahha
but as for this week, our three investigaters are getting close to their baptisms first is Almendra Romero, her family is all inactive other than her grandma and we invited her to church and since that day she loved it and is 9 years old and is a gem!! the other two are Carla Valdebenito 12 and Connie Valdebenito 9. their mom is a member really inactive that we helped reactivate herself and now the girls want really bad to be baptized and they Gems as well, its incredible to see girls soo young have such an interest in religion and i am really proud of them:)
lastly a story that was a little sketchy and sad......so yesterday we had this lesson with fredy and afterwards at like 10 at night we are walking back to the house and i saw this girl that maybe is 15 or 16 that was with this 30 years old guy and i thought it was odd but i jsut said hi and kept walking then all of the sudden she ran up to us telling us to wait and so obviously we stopped to talk to her and she was like almost crying begging us for help....and so i asked what she needed and she said she is being followed and so i asked where she lives so we can help her to her house but she said she is from Italy....and doesnt have a house here...(i was really confuesed and she had a really strong italian accent) i was thinking that maybe if was maybe a scam to rob us but then this guy on a bike started coming towards us and she started bawling and said its him its him so we kinda protected her for a second then he got to us and she went to talk to him and they talked and he is telling her to come home and all this stuff and she is jsut saying that she cant do this anymore and all this stuff trying to leave him but he wont let her leave then finally she breaks his grasp and is hiding behind us as he is talking to her and she is just telling him to leave her alone and out of nowhere she just takes off running and i ask him what is going on and he just said PROBLEMS. i was soo confused then as he is chasing her he screamed to her and all the sudden there were like 4 guys on all these corners and they just swarmed her and took her away......we were in absolute shock.....all of the sudden one of the guys started walking really fast towards us and we took off walking fast till we got to this main road and then he stopped following us..........after all of this we were talking to someone and they told us that in that part of our sector the Prostitute business is really strong that they kidnap people from other countries just like in the movie taken.....and she was most likely part of this.....i have never felt so helpless to help this young girl. and now i reallize a lot of the corruption that exists in the world...it was sad...but i realized that if i had done something i would probably be in a whole world of danger and idk. it was just a moment really hard and sad. but yeah....
that was my week.
SOOOO amazing with a touch of sadness. but god has a plan and these things will be better in the future and god will have his justice.
