Lyss opened her call!? THATS CRAZY!!!! she didnt send me an email this week so i had no idea!!!! I totally guessed it! i told her she would be called to Brasil!!!!!! That is so cool, my comp was super pumped to hear she was going to brasil haha she will have a fun time learning portougese! my comp hates portoguese for some reason so he refuses to teach me hahaah but i know a couple phrases ahha but wow that is super coool!!:)
I wish i could do an innitiatory session again....i only did it the first time i got my endowments out...so i was so in shock to understand all that was really happening... But your experience with that sounds soo cool and special. The power of the temple is incredible! I love it:)
Ha the old testament! look at you go! that is super impressive, i wish that i knew the old testament because there is so much good stuff in there. THere is this missionary here from peru who has a crazy cool conversion story but for short he had no family since he was 10 and he lived in the mountains alone with his little brother raising him self and he had his bible and he read the old testament 5 times through and the new testament 4 times and so he had this picture of what a real church needs to have to be true, and he went looking in all the churches until he found ours and he started attending and he realized it was the correct church and then yeah now he is here! but he knows the bible like the back of his hand, he enjoys bible bashing because he always wins ahah its not good but he does it all the time haha
okay so about this week, so i asked our president if the bathing the old man was okay and he said it wasnt....so oops hahaha learn from trial and error i guesss ahahah
We have been meeting with this Menos Activo since i got here and she is like 24 and doesnt think the standards and stuff for the church are neccessary ha. so we have been trying and trying and trying so hard to help her understand it but then this week we met with her and Elder silva asked her, "What do you think the purpose of our visits are?" and she had no idea so i expalined that it is not just to get you to come to church, or a number to add to our books. that we are here to help her relationship with Jesucristo y Dios. And i could see the spirit working on her and then we started talking about repenting and stuff and she was kind of stubborn and wouldnt accept it and didnt want to talk to the bishop about her problems. so i just followed the spirit and bore testimony on repenting and using my bishop(dad) to be my anchor and guide to a happier life and i shared my experience with realizing a mission was what i needed to do and the feeling of all my sins being taken away from me, and at the end of it she was crying and shared that last night she was on youtube and came accross a church video with her favorite hymn and an inspirational video and she felt the need to go to church and talk to the bishop and bawled all night long. and she was just going to forget about it and not act on the impresión del Espíritu Santo. So it was truly the lord speaking to her through me and she ended up coming to church for the first time in a long time. and now is working up the courage to talk to the bishop. I love this, i love it with a passion. To see the blessings of the gospel be poured out on people. I want to do this forever.
Anyways, that is prettymuch all that was this week, i love yiou guys and am glad you are all doing so good!!
